Former Green Beret Mike Glover reacts to the police bodycam and surveillance footage from the 2024 Lakewood Church shooting in Houston, Texas. Posted by @PoliceActivity – Please support there channel!
On February 11, 2024, a woman entered Lakewood Church with her 7-year-old son and opened fire inside the building. Two off-duty law-enforcement officers working security responded and engaged the shooter, bringing the attack to an end. The shooter was killed, while her young son was critically wounded during the exchange of gunfire.
Mike breaks down the incident from the perspective of a former Green Beret and government contractor, looking at the officers’ response, movement, use of cover, communication, decision-making, and the extreme difficulty of responding to an active shooter in a crowded public environment.
This reaction is intended for educational and analytical purposes. The objective isn’t to second-guess decisions with the benefit of hindsight, but to examine what real-world critical incidents can teach us about preparedness, situational awareness, and decision-making under stress.
